Day 2:
The College Blog
Hello again,
So after the most amazing night of my life it was time do something good in the community. I woke up around 9am to the ridiculous Laker alarm my brother gave me before I left California. It was time to do the whole hygiene thing before I left. I grab my bag, put on my shower shoes, and head to the bathrooms. I pull each shower curtain back to see which one is the cleanest. That was a mistake. There was a piece of crap in the middle of one of the showers. How disgusting right? I wasn't surprised.
After that adventure I'm heading back to my dorm room when the most beautiful girl is walking through this all male dorm. Wow, she was amazing! Long brown hair, great body, and eyes that instantly made me nervous. I said hello as I passed by wondering who that was.
As I got back to my room I asked my roommate Walter, a rich kid from Delaware who that beautiful lady was. He told me it was Jeanine the new hall director. Oh boy was I excited. This means that I could see her again.
So I was heading to Washington Elementary to meet my new little brother Lamar. He was a troubled 2nd grader who was raised by his cousins. As I walk into the elementary I see a lady and a child walking towards me. As they get closer I recognize the lady. Low and behold it was one of the women we went out with the night before. What a small world. She said hello in a very professional manner. I signed the paper work and was heading out when she said hey. I turned, wondering what could she possibly want. She told me to call her later. I turned away and proceeded to walk away with Lamar.
Lamar and I headed over to the cafeteria to get some grub before going to shoot some hoops. He cost me 9 dollars. Now that may seem like chump change but I spent so much money the night before. We ate and headed to the court.
We arrived at the basketball court where we began shooting around when I noticed he hasn't said two words to me yet. I start a conversation asking him what he likes to do and what are his hobbies. He loves basketball and skateboarding. Who would of thunk it? He is a L.A. Laker fan and wanted to go to a game. I told him if he stops talking in class and starts getting better grades I would take him to one. He was the most excited kid and promised to do his best.
I started to like the kid, I think he is just misunderstood at school. His parents died when he was younger and lived with his cousins ever since. I felt for the kid. He told me that one of his teachers called him dumb and said he would get nowhere with his attitude. He is in second grade how bad could he be? I made plans to go see him interact in class one day in the coming up week.
It was time for me to return him to his teacher and continue with my day. I bought some books for class, cleaned up, and waited night to fall. My roommate wanted to go to a club but I was still a little shy and didn't want to go. The hall director passed knocked on my door while I was laying down and asked me if I wanted to go to the mall with her. I said sure why not.(trying to play it cool) I got dressed and headed out with her. She had a car, I couldn't believe it. She was also only 20. I thought she was a lot older. She told me she was a senior though. She skipped two years. Wow, what a girl.
We walked around the mall, got some food, and headed back to her place. She said she left something at her place. We arrive and she tells me I can come up if I wanted to. So I do. The place was nice, not like my old dorm. She lived by herself in a three bedroom apartment. I don't understand why but hey, whatever floats your boat. I asked her if she got what she needed and she said she does now as she gazed into my eyes. Would you believe it, she kissed me. I was instantly in love. I think she wanted to do it, but I was so nervous I just kept kissing her. That was it! She was mad at me because I didn't know what I was doing so she said she was ready to go after like five minutes of making out.
Embarrassed and ashamed I walked away from the car and I guess she felt bad for me because she said maybe next time hun. I smirked and proceeded to walk inside. Sorry I didn't lose anything this night.
